Diciannovenne rimandato in custodia per i riot del 12 luglio

Un giovane è comparso in tribunale accusato di aver lanciato una molotov durante i disordini del 12 luglio 2010

Patrick Ward, 19 anni da Rosehead Drive a Belfast, è comparso presso il tribunale cittadino nella giornata di sabato. E’ stato accusato anche di comportamento sedizioso in Oldpark Road.

La polizia ha riferito in aula di opporsi al rilascio con la condizionale per il timore che Ward possa tornare a infrangere la legge.

Il giovane è stato rimandato in custodia, per comparire nuovamente in aula il prossimo 20 agosto.

Teen remanded over Twelfth riots

A teenager has appeared in court accused of throwing a petrol bomb at police during Twelfth of July riots.

Patrick Ward, 19, from Rosehead Drive in Belfast, who appeared at the city’s Magistrates Court on Saturday, was also charged with riotous behaviour at the Oldpark Road.

The police told the court they objected to bail amid fears that Mr Ward would reoffend.

He was remanded into custody to appear again on 20 August.
