Un uomo e una donna vengono interrogati in connessione con l’omicidio di Kieran Doherty, ucciso dalla Real IRA lo scorso anno
Il corpo di Doherty fu trovato ai margini della città lo scorso febbraio, nudo e con le mani legate. Era stato colpito a bruciapelo.
La Real IRA si assunse la responsibilità per la morte di Doherty, affermando in un comunicato di aver “giustiziato” il trentunenne.
La famiglia di Doherty ha sempre respinto le voci secondo le quali Kieran era un informatore o uno spacciatore di droga, parlando di coinvolgimento dell’MI5 nella sua morte.

Two held over Doherty murder
A man and a woman are being questioned in connection with the Real IRA murder of Kieran Doherty, who was shot dead in Londonderry last year.
The body of Mr Doherty – a father-of-one from the Brandywell – was found on the city’s outskirts last February, stripped and with his hands tied. He had been shot at close range.
The Real IRA admitted being behind the killing, saying in a statement that they had “executed” the 31-year-old victim.
Mr Doherty’s family has rejected allegations that he was an informer or drug dealer and has claimed MI5 was involved in his death.
