Due arresti per omicidio Carroll

La polizia che indaga sulla morte dell’agente Stephen Carroll ha arrestato altri due uomini

I due uomini, un ventenne ed un trentenne, sono stati fermati martedì mattina e trasportati presso la Serious Crime Suite della stazione di polizia di Antrim per essere interrogati.

Stephen Carroll, 48 anni, fu colpito a morte mentre era in servizio a Craigavon, Contea di Armagh, il 9 marzo dello scorso anno.

Il suo omicidio fu rivendicato dalla Continuity IRA.

Venne colpito due giorni dopo l’attacco portato dalla Real IRA alla caserma di Massereene Barracks ad Antrim, dove morirono due soldati britannici in procinto di partire per l’Afghanistan.

Two arrested over Carroll murder

Police investigating the murder of Constable Stephen Carroll have arrested two more men.

The men in their 20’s and 30’s were detained on Tuesday morning and have been taken to Antrim serious crime suite for questioning.

The 48-year-old police officer was shot dead while on duty in Craigavon, county Armagh, on 9 March last year.

Dissident republican group the Continuity IRA said it killed Constable Carroll.

He was murdered two days after the Real IRA shot dead two soldiers outside Massereene Barracks in Antrim
