Due molotov contro casa a Lisburn

C’è stato un attacco con bottiglie incendiarie contro un’abitazione di Lisburn, dove erano presenti una mamma coi suoi due figli

Due ordigni incendiari sono stati lanciati nella cucina della casa di Finch Garden a Pond Park, poco prima delle 4 di giovedì mattina, ma solo uno ha sprigionato le fiamme.

La molotov ha causato lievi bruciature al pavimento della cucina.

Una mamma con i due figli, una bambina di 10 anni ed un ragazzo di 15, erano nella casa al momento dell’attacco ma non sono rimasti feriti.

Il consigliere locale e parlamentare per l’area del DUP Paul Givan si è detto dispiaciuto che fatti simili siano accaduti solo perché qualcuno che abita nel quartiere vuole la famiglia fuori dalla zona.

“Quella paura mi è stata espressa dai residenti che non vogliono che altri entrino in azione e sono quindi venuti da me per esprimere la paura che taluni si prendano la legge nelle proprie mani mentre i residenti non vogliono”, afferma Givan.

Arma letale

“Mi sono incontrato con il comandante distrettuale della PSNI alcune settimane fa a riguardo e la polizia è stata in più occasioni in quest’area per cercare di assicurare uno sviluppo pacifico.

“così la polizia è a conoscenza dei problemi, sono a conoscenza della potenziale minaccia ed è mio rammarico che adesso si sia mostrata in questo modo ieri sera”.

La famiglia ha lasciato l’abitazione mentre vengono eseguite le indagini.

La polizia rivela che due uomini ed una donna sono stati visti nell’area al momento dell’attacco.

Trevor Lunn, parlamentare di Alliance Party, riferisce che la gente “è stufa di queste persone che sono coinvolte in atti di teppismo”.

Ha aggiunto: “Una bottiglia incendiaria è un’arma letale, tanto quato un ordigno esplosivo, con la stessa capacità di provocare vittime.

“E’ davvero quello che vogliono i responsabili, uccisdere bambini?”

Two petrol bombs thrown at house

There has been a petrol bomb attack on a house in Lisburn.

Two devices were thrown into the kitchen of the house at Finch Gardens in Pond Park shortly before 0400 GMT on Thursday but only one of them ignited.

It caused minor scorch damage to the kitchen floor.

A mother and her two children, a 10-year-old girl and a 15-year-old boy, were inside at the time but were not hurt.

DUP Councillor and MLA for the area Paul Givan said he was afraid something like this would happen because some people living in the estate had wanted the family out of the area.

“That fear was expressed to me by local people who didn’t want others to step in and take action and they came to me expressing that fear that individuals would take the law into their own hands and they didn’t want that,” Mr Givan said.

Lethal

“I met with the PSNI district commander a number of weeks ago about it and the police have been on many occasions in this area trying to ensure that there is a peaceful environment.

“So the police were aware of the problems, they were aware there was a potential threat and it is to my regret that it has now manifested itself last night.”

The family had left the house while an investigation is carried out.

Police say two men and a woman were seen in the area around the time of the attack.

Alliance assembly member Trevor Lunn said people were “sick of the type of individuals who are involved in this thuggery”.

He added: “A petrol bomb is a lethal weapon, just as much as an explosive device, with the same capacity to cause death.

“Is that really what the perpetrators want, to kill children?”
