Duffy non si candida alle elezioni europee

Il prigioniero repubblicano Colin Duffy non sarà candidato nelle prossime elezioni europee. E’ stato deciso nel corso della riunione svoltasi a Lurgan questa sera (ieri, NdT).

Il fratello Paul ha indicato la mancanza di risorse e di tempo disponibile per creare un’efficace campagna elettorale come le ragioni alla base di questa decisione.

Colin Duffy, 41 anni, è trattenuto a Maghaberry, accusato della morte di due soldati a Massereene Barracks.

Inoltre deve rispondere di altre cinque accuse per tentato omicidio.

Duffy ‘won’t stand in Euro poll’

Dissident republican prisoner Colin Duffy will not be standing in the forthcoming European elections, a meeting in Lurgan has tonight heard.

His brother Paul cited lack of resources and time available to mount an effective campaign as the reasons behind the decision.

Earlier this year, the 41-year-old was charged with the murders of two soldiers at Massereene Barracks.

He was also charged with five counts of attempted murder.
