La polizia sta indagando su un banner eretto a Dungannon e dedicato all’ultra-lealista Billy “King Rat” Wright, ucciso nel 1997 nel carcere di Maze dall’INLA.
Sullo striscione è presente il volto dell’ex leader della Loyalist Volunteer Force ed una frase a lui attribuita. Il banner è stato posizionato su un lampione.
L’ispettore capo Stephen Humphries ha dichiarato: “La polizia è a conoscenza dell’installazione di un cartello offensivo nella zona di Dungannon e sta lavorando con la comunità per rimuoverlo”.

Police ‘working to remove’ Billy Wright banner
Police are investigating a banner dedicated to Billy Wright in the Co Tyrone town of Dungannon.
It features a picture of the former leader of the Loyalist Volunteer Force and a quote attributed to him, and has been placed on a street light.
Chief Inspector Stephen Humphries said: “Police are aware of an offensive sign that has been erected in the Dungannon area and are working with people in the community to have it removed.”
