MAN ARRESTED OVER EAST BELFAST ATTACKS
A 31-year-old man has been arrested by police investigating attacks in east Belfast over the weekend.
Two cars were damaged during separate attacks in east Belfast.
On Sunday evening, the window of a car parked in the Park Avenue area was smashed with a brick.
Police said they were treating the attack as a hate crime.
Paint was also thrown over a car parked in Colvil Street at about 10.35 pm on Sunday.
A male suspect, aged 31, was arrested for criminal damage and threats to commit criminal damage.
Police are continuing their inquiries into both attacks and have appealed for witnesses to contact them on the non-emergency 101 number.
