La polizia ha avviato un’indagine dopo lo scoppio di una pipe bomb a Derry
Nessuno si trovava nell’abitazione e nessuno è rimasto ferito, ma ci sono stati gravi danni provocati alla proprietà.
Elisha McLaughlin, direttrice del District Policing Partner di Derry, ha riferito che la pipe bomb è stata lanciata contro la facciata dell’abitazione.
“E’ stata fatta esplodere in un’area edificata e ha causato sostanziali danni alla casa e avrebbe potuto ferire qualcuno se si fosse trovato nelle immediate vicinanze dello scoppio”, ha avvertito.
“Intendo rendere chiaro ai responsabili che la comunità non vuole questo per cui dovrebbero fermarsi”.

Police have launched an investigation after a pipe bomb exploded at a house in Co Londonderry
No-one was home at the time and there were no injuries, but extensive damage was caused to the property.
Elisha McLaughlin, Chairperson of the Derry District Policing Partnership, said the pipe bomb device was thrown at the front of the property.
“It was detonated in a built up area and caused substantial damage to the house and could have caused serious injury to anyone in the vicinity of the blast at that time,” she said.
“I am making it clear to those responsible that the community does not want this and those behind it need to stop.”
