Gravi fratture si sono sviluppate all’interno dell’organizzazione paramilitare nelle ultime settimane, scatenando timori di un’altra faida lealista.
Tra le persone sotto minaccia c’è il “brigadiere” di North Belfast, John Bunting.
Graffiti minacciosi che impongono a Bunting di lasciare North Belfast sono stati dipinti sui muri del suo ufficio due settimane fa.
Poi, circa 40 persone si sono riunite a casa di John Howcroft, uno stretto collaboratore di Bunting.
I membri espulsi dall’UDA hanno detto di voler cacciare Bunting e di nominare Robert Molyneaux quale leader.
Una volta Molyneaux era amico intimo di Howcroft.
Fonti interne all’UDA dicono che Bunting è disprezzato dai criminali lealisti a causa della sua dura presa di posizione sullo spaccio di droga.

Serious rifts have been developing within the paramilitary organisation in recent weeks, sparking fears of another loyalist feud.
Among those under threat is north Belfast ‘brigadier’ John Bunting.
Threatening graffiti telling Bunting to get out of north Belfast was daubed on the walls of his office a fortnight ago.
Then around 40 people gathered at the home of John Howcroft, a close associate of Bunting.
Expelled members are said to be intent on ousting Bunting and installing Robert Molyneaux (46) as leader.
Molyneaux was once a close friend of Howcroft’s.
Sources within the UDA say Bunting is despised by maverick loyalists because of his tough stance on drug dealing.
