Due differenti allarmi sicurezza a Lurgan e Dungannon sono terminati

Il secondo allarme sicurezza a Lurgan in meno di 24 ore è stato descritto dalla polizia come “un finto ordigno molto elaborato”.

L’allarme è partito dopo il ritrovamento di un oggetto sospetto in Lake Street intorno alle 6.45 di mercoledì mattina.

Lake Street è stata chiusa all’attraversamento ferroviario, così come North Street, mentre le indagini venivano compiute.

Entrambe le strade sono state riaperte.

Martedì un oggetto sconosciuto era stato rinvenuto vicino al college di Lurgan, in Lough Road. Anche in questo caso si trattava di un’imitazione.

Nel frattempo, un oggetto sospetto avvistato fuori dal tribunale di Dungannon poco prima delle 8.30 di mercoledì è stato analizzato dagli artificieri dell’esercito britannico, che hanno dichiarato un falso allarme.

Le strade sono state riaperte e ai residenti è stato permesso di ritornare nelle abitazioni.

Lurgan and Dungannon alerts end

Two separate security alerts in Lurgan and Dungannon have ended, police said.

The second security alert in Lurgan in less than 24 hours has been described by police as an “elaborate hoax”.

It was sparked when a suspicious object was discovered in the Lake Street at 6.45am on Wednesday morning.

Lake Street was closed at the railway crossing and North Street was also shut while investigations were carried out.

Both roads have since been reopened.

On Tuesday, a suspicious object was found close to Lurgan college on the Lough Road, although it was later declared an elaborate hoax.

Meanwhile, a suspicious object spotted outside Dungannon courthouse shortly before 8.30am on Wednesday was examined by ATO and declared to be a false alarm.

Roads have been reopened and residents have been allowed back into their homes.
