Jamie Bryson - Willie Frazer
LEADING loyalist campaigner Jamie Bryson has come off hunger strike.

Mr Gordon said: “He has come off his hunger and thirst strike.

Mr Gordon said that Mr Bryson had continued with the strike while he was in police custody but that it was “a different matter” now that he was in prison.

“At one point the police thought they were going to have to admit him to hospital during questioning,” he said.

Mr Gordon said that the young loyalist had been told by doctors that refusing water would leading to a rapid deterioration inside seven days.

The Bangor Pastor also revealed that Mr Bryson has briefly met Willie Frazer in prison and “the two are considering a hunger strike and possibly a thirst strike later”.

Mr Gordon said as the leading flag protester is being held in isolation and only managed to talk to Mr Frazer briefly on his way to the shower block.
