Francis Mackey, 32CSM: serve unità tra i repubblicani

C’è bisogno di unire i repubblicani per far cessare gli abusi nella prigione britanica di Maghaberry

Il continuo abuso nei confronti dei POW repubblicani nella prigione di Maghaberry non è solamente una seria violazione del loro Diritti Umani ma il riflesso di come il governo britannico e i loro burattini a Stormont non abbiano risposte su come trattare i repubblicani o come gestire le analisi repubblicane che mostrano la continua violazione della Sovranità Nazionale Irlandese.

Francis Mackey, presidente del 32 County Sovereignty Movement, ha affermato: “I repubblicani hanno mostrato le debolezze nella normalizzazione del governo britannico in Irlanda e così facendo hanno dimostrato che il governo inglese ed i suoi alleati a Stormont possono solo ripetere le pratiche repressive del passato per sopprimere la legittima sfida repubblicana.

“L’abuso sui POW a Maghaberry e il continuo internamento di Marian Price mostrano come la repressione, l’abuso e la molestia sia sono l’estensione del pensiero che gli inglesi ed i partiti di Stormont sono pronti a proseguire piuttosto che cercare di far terminare le condizioni politiche che permettono a queste pratiche disumane di continuare”.

Continuando ad esporre il suo pensiero, Mackey prosegue: “E’ fondamentale che la base repubblicana ed in particolare tutte le organizzazioni, società e individui repubblicani stiano uniti e sostengano saldamente la campagna per cessare l’abuso politico dei repubblicani.

“Faccio appello all’unità dei repubblicani per portare pressione sui partiti a Stormont affinché finisca la pratica delle strip search come primo passo per terminare la protesta in questo carcere.

“Quello che mi preoccupa è la pressione su questi uomini (i prigionieri repubblicani, Ndt) e temo che questa pressione continua possa aumentare e personalmente non voglio vedere la storia ripetersi.

“Quindi bisogna percorrere qualsiasi strada per portare questo problema a buon fine”.

Republicans united needed to end the abuse of POW’s in British Gaol.

The continued abuse of Republican POW’s in Maghaberry Gaol is not only a serious violation of their Human Rights but a reflection of how the British Government and their puppets at Stormont have no answers on how to treat republicans or how to deal with the republican analysis which exposes the continued violation of Irish National Sovereignty.

Mr Francis Mackey, Chairman of the 32 County Sovereignty Movement said, “Republicans have exposed the flaws in the normalisation of British Rule in Ireland and by doing so demonstrated that the British Government and their allies in Stormont can only repeat the repressive practices of the past to subdue the legitimate Republican challenge.

The abuse of POW’s in Maghaberry and the continued internment of Marian Price illustrates how abuse, repression and harassment is the extent of the thinking the British and the parties in Stormont are prepared to go rather than trying to end the political conditions which allows this inhumane practice to continue”.

Continuing Mr Mackey said, “ It is imperative the Republican base and particularly all republican Organisations, Societies and Individuals stand united and firmly behind the campaign to end the political abuse of republicans.

I appeal for Unity of Republican purpose to bring pressure to bear on the parties in Stormont to end the practice of Strip Searching as a first step in ending the protest in this gaol.

What concerns me most is the pressure on these men and I would fear such continued pressure would escalate and I personally do not want to see a repeat of history in this regard.

Therefore what ever actions are necessary should be explored to bring this issue to a successful conclusion.”
