Il presidente dello Sinn Fein ha confermato di voler correre alle elezioni generali come candidato per la circoscrizione di Louth
Il presidente dello Sinn Fein ha fatto il suo annuncio durante una commemorazione tenutasi nella Contea di Louth questo pomeriggio.
Questa settimana l’attuale membro dello Sinn Fein che sta occupando il seggio di Louth, il cinquantaseienne Arthur Morgan, ha annunciato di non volersi presentare alle prossime attenzioni per concentrarsi sugli affari familiari.
Adams è parlamentare presso l’Assemblea nordirlandese di Stomont e presso Westminster. Sono attese le sue dimissioni da entrambi i parlamenti per correre a Louth.
Gli altri TD della circoscrizione sono Seamus Kirk e Dermot Ahern del Fianna Fail e Fergus O’Dowd del Fine Gael.
Nelle ultime due elezioni Morgan ha ottenuto il quarto ed ultimo seggio con il 15% di primi voti.

Adams to run for election in Louth
The Sinn Féin President has confirmed that he wants to run in the next General Election as a candidate in the Louth constituency.
Mr Adams made the announcement at a republican commemoration event in Co Louth this afternoon.
During the week Sinn Féin’s sitting TD in the Louth constituency, 56-year-old Arthur Morgan, announced that he would be stepping down at the next election to concentrate on his family business.
Mr Adams is a member of the Northern Ireland Assembly and an MP at Westminster and is expected to resign both seats to run in Louth.
Securing the party nomination in Louth is expected be a formality.
The constituency’s other TDs are Seamus Kirk and Dermot Ahern of Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael’s Fergus O Dowd.
In the last two elections, Mr Morgan got the fourth and final seat with around 15% of the first preference vote.
