Giovani a volto coperto attaccano la polizia a Drumbeg

Un gruppo di giovani ha attaccato la polizia nella cittadina di Drumbeg

Gli agenti stavano indagando su un episodio di furto con scasso, intorno alle 11 di oggi, quando sei giovani a volto coperto hanno iniziato a lanciare pietre e mattoni contro di loro.

Un poliziotto è stato ferito alla testa ed un veicolo della polizia è rimasto seriamente danneggiato, tanto che non potrà essere usato per ulteriori pattugliamenti.

Le ferite del poliziotto non sarebbero gravi.

In conseguenza dell’attacco la PSNI non è riuscita a concludere la propria indagine.

Masked youths attack PSNI officers in Drumbeg

Police have come under attack from a gang of masked youths in Drumbeg.

Officers were investigating a report of a burglary at 1100 BST when up to six masked youths threw bricks and rocks at them.

One officer suffered a head injury and a police vehicle was badly damaged and taken out of use for further patrols.

The officer’s injury is not believed to be serious.

Police said they were unable to carry out their enquiries.
