Graffiti settari sono stati scritti sui muri di una Orange Hall
Un comunicato della PSNI afferma che “tra le 22:30 di giovedì e le 11 di sabato, sono stati dipinti graffiti settari sulla Hall e alcune grondaie sono state danneggiate”.
La Gran Loggia d’Irlanda ha condannato l’attacco.
Un portavoce ha riferito: “Sappiamo che ci sono persone che non vogliono una presenza orangista nella zona e chiediamo ai leader comunitari di condannare questo attacco senza riserve”.
“Fortunatamente in questa occasione i danni sono di lieve entità, ma è particolarmente preoccupate perché il Twelfth (la marcia ufficiale in occasione el 12 luglio, Ndt) quest’anno si terrà a Pomeroy”.
L’Orange Order fa sapere che la Ballymacall Hall è stata costruita nel 1985 ed è stata attaccata diverse volte. Per due volte è stata data alle fiamme.

Orange Hall in Co Tyrone vandalised
Sectarian graffiti has been sprayed on an Orange Hall in Co Tyrone.
A statement from the PSNI said: “Sometime between 10.30pm on Thursday and 11am on Saturday, sectarian graffiti was sprayed on the hall and gutter pipes were damaged.”
The Grand Orange Lodge of Ireland has condemned the attack.
A spokesperson said: “We know there are people who do not want any Orange presence in the area and we would ask local community leaders to condemn this attack without reservation.”
“Fortunately damage was relatively minor on this occasion, but it is particularly worrying as the Twelfth is being held in Pomeroy this year.”
The Orange Order says Ballymacall Hall was built in 1985 and has been the target of a number of attacks, including two arson attacks.
Officers have appeal for anyone with information to come forward.
