Hotel a Derry rifiuta incontro del District Policing Partnership

Un albergo di Derry ha rifiutato di ospitare un incontro del DPP, dopo che due precedeti riunioni sono state interrotte dai repubblicani.

Un incontro a luglio venne abbandonato quando i repubblicani sono penetrati nell’hotel con la forza, usando fischietti e lanciando fialette puzzolenti.

La scorsa settimana un altro incontro, sempre a Derry, è stato nuovamente interrotto.

Il Tower Hotel, cui è stato chiesto di ospitare l’incontro per la seconda volta, ha riferito di dover considerare la sicurezza del personale e degli ospiti.

Derry hotel refuses to host policing partnership meeting

A Derry hotel has declined to host a meeting of the local policing partnership after two previous events were disrupted by dissident republicans.

A meeting at one hotel had to be abandoned in July when dissident republicans forced their way in, blowing whistles and throwing stink bombs.

Last week another meeting at a second hotel in Derry had to be abandoned after it was also disrupted.

The Tower Hotel, which had been asked to host a meeting for the second time, said it had to consider the safety of staff and residents.
