Il PUP discute del suo futuro

Il Progressive Unionist Party si riunirà questa sera per valutare il proprio futuro, dopo le dimissioni della leader, Dawn Purvis

La Purvis ha lasciato il partito in seguito all’omicidio del quarantatreenne Bobby Moffett, ucciso il 28 maggio a Shankill Road, Belfast.

Moffett, ex membro del Red Hand Commando, fu colpito a morte in pieno giorno da due uomini a volto coperto.

La polizia ha collegato la UVF – Ulster Volunteer Force – all’omicidio.

Si ritiene che molti membri del PUP stiano attentamente valutando il proprio futuro all’interno del partito.

PUP to discuss party future

The Progressive Unionist Party will meet on Wednesday evening to consider its future after the resignation of party leader, Dawn Purvis.

Ms Purvis left the party following the murder of 43-year-old Bobby Moffett who was gunned down on the Shankill Road on 28 May.

The former member the Red Hand Commandos was shot dead in broad day light by two masked men.

Police believe the UVF was linked to the killing.

It’s thought more members of the party are considering their future with the PUP.
