Il Tour del Nord non attraversa Ardoyne
Orange Order parade re-routed
Two lodges of the Orange Order have been restricted from passing the Ardoyne interface in north Belfast at the end of next Friday’s Tour of the North Parade, following a decision by the Parades Commission.
The route by the interface has traditionally been one of the most contentious with trouble flaring in recent years.
The determination by the Parade’s Commission means the two lodges cannot pass what is locally known as the ‘Ardoyne Shops’ area, namely the Crumlin Road, Mountain View and ‘the Dales’ area.
