L’uomo è sospettato di aver ucciso l’ufficiale dell’esercito britannico oltre 30 anni fa
Dopo che i magistrati hanno acconsentito ad un rilascio per due settimane, Crilly deve presentarsi nuovamente davanti alla corte il 2 dicembre.
Il capitano Nairac sarebbe stato ucciso con un colpi di arma da fuoco dall’IRA dopo essere stato prelevato con la forza dal parcheggio di un pub vicino a Jonesborough e portato in un luogo della Contea di Louth nel 1977.
Il suo corpo non è mai stato trovato.
Tre uomini sono stati in precedenza condannati per l’omicidio, un altro per omicidio e altri due trovati colpevoli per accuse minori di rapimento e di occultamento di informazioni.
Crilly era stato arrestato lo scorso maggio e accusato di rapimento e aggressione e falsa reclusione, dopo che una squadra di documentaristi della BBC aveva presentato nuove prove.
L’uomo nega le accuse ma ha ammesso in tribunale di aver accompagnato in macchina uno degli assassini sul luogo dell’omicidio.

Murder suspect appears in court
A MAN suspected of killing a British Army officer over 30 years ago has appeared in court.
After prosecutors agreed to a two-week remand on continuing bail, Mr Crilly is due to return to court on December 2.
Captain Nairac is believed to have been shot dead by the IRA after being snatched from a pub car park near Jonesborough to a location in Co Louth in 1977.
His body has never been found.
Three men have previously been convicted of the murder, another of manslaughter and two others were found guilty of the lesser charges of kidnap and withholding information.
Crilly was arrested last May and charged on counts of kidnapping and assault and false imprisonment after a BBC documentary team unearthed fresh evidence.
He denied those charges but admitted in court to driving one of the killers to the murder scene.
