The race for SDLP leadership begins
The race to become the next SDLP leader begins in earnest tomorrow when Alasdair McDonnell confirms he is throwing his hat into the ring.
The current deputy leader and South Belfast MP is running against Social Development Minister Margaret Ritchie to succeed Mark Durkan.
The party will vote in the winner in February, with a more crowded contest expected for the deputy leader role.
