La revoca avvenne dopo che la Price agì come “leggio” per un presunto membro della Real IRA durante le commemorazioni di Pasqua a Creggan, Derry, nel 2011.
Il ministro della GIustizia David Ford ha spiegato che “il costo totale per tenere Marian Price nella prigione di Maghaberry tra il 13 maggio 2011 e il 16 febbraio 2012 è stato di 192.546 sterline”, delle quali 189.247 per il personale e 3.299 per gli arredamenti.
Dal 17 febbraio 2012, la Price è detenuta nella prigione di Hydebank Wood, con una spesa di 10.275,83 sterline.
Marian Price, conosciuta anche come Marian McGlinchey, è stata anche accusata in base al Terrorism Act 2000 in connessione con l’attacco a Massereene Barracks.
Il Northern Ireland Office (NIO) ha dichiarato: “La signora McGlinchey è stata accusata di due reati in base al Terrorism Act 2000, uno dei quali collegato con gli omicidi di Massereene.
“In queste circostanze, e considerando la necessità di proteggere la popolazione, la licenza della signora McGlinchey è stata revocata. Un comitato indipendente di commissari per il rilascio su cauzione sta adesso valutando il suo caso”.
Il NIO rifiuta di parlare di internamento senza processo.
“Il corretto procedimento è sempre stato seguito: la signora McGlinchey è a conoscenza del caso contro di lei e aveva l’opportunità di contestarlo, portando prove a sua discolpa, durante l’udienza per il rilascio”.

Justice Minister David Ford said “the total cost of accommodating Ms Price in Maghaberry Prison between May 13 2011 and February 16, 2012 was £192,546.00.” £189,247 of this went on staffing and £3,299 went on refurbishment.
Since February 17, 2012, Ms Price has been held in Hydebank Wood at a cost to the public purse of £10,275.83.
Ms Price (also known as McGlinchey) has also been charged under the Terrorism Act 2000 in connection with the Masserene murders.
The Northern Ireland Office (NIO) has stated: “Mrs McGlinchey has been charged with two offences under the Terrorism Act 2000, one of which is in connection with the Masserene murders.
“In these circumstances, and considering the need to protect the public, Mrs McGlinchey’s licence was revoked. An independent panel of parole commissioners is now considering her case.”
The NIO has refuted allegations that she is being interned without trial.
“Due process has been followed at all times: Mrs McGlinchey is aware of the case against her and has an opportunity to challenge it, and submit evidence on her behalf, during the course of the parole hearing.”
