Di seguito il testo integrale del comunicato letto da uomini armati nello Shamrock Pub di Ardoyne nella notte tra domenica e lunedì
Martedì scorso 8 ottobre l’Esercito Repubblicano Irlandese ha ucciso Kevin Kearney a Belfast.
Kearney era stato identificato come il capo di una banda criminale altamente organizzata coinvolta nella fornitura e distribuzione di droghe di classe A e di classe B.
Come diretta conseguenza dello spaccio di Kearney molti dei nostri giovani hanno sviluppato tossicodipendenze e qualcuno ha perso la vita. L’IRA non permetterà che ciò continui.
Altri due membri di spicco di Ardoyne della banda di Kearney, Eamon Clarke/Kennedy e Gareth O’Hara, sono stati informati che, da mezzanotte, hanno 48 ore per cessare la loro attività nella droga e per lasciare il nostro paese.
Il mancato rispetto di questo avviso si tradurrà in una pronta risposta da parte dell’IRA.
È stato anche riportato alla leadership dell’IRA che un membro della famiglia Kearney ha emesso minacce contro l’Irish Republican Army.
Mentre il dolore di queste persone è comprensibile, deve rendersi conto che tutte le minacce saranno trattate con assoluta determinazione. Come precedentemente affermato dall’IRA, noi proteggeremo i nostri volontari a tutti i costi.
Esortiamo questo individuo a riconsiderare la sua azione e a ritirare subito le sue minacce.
Infine l’IRA coglie l’occasione per comunicare a questa rete criminale di cessare le sue attività e di sciogliersi. Siete consapevoli delle conseguenze delle vostre attività e non riceverete ulteriori avvertimenti.

IRA Statement, 13th October 2013
On Tuesday the 8th of October the IRISH REPUBLICAN ARMY executed Kevin Kearney in Belfast.
Mr Kearney had been identified as the leader of a highly organised criminal gang involved in the supply and distribution of class A and class B Drugs.
As a direct result of Kearneys Drug Dealing many of our young people have developed Drug addictions, And some have lost their lives. The IRA will not allow this to continue.
Two other Prominent Members of kearneys gangs from Ardoyne, Eamon Clarke/Kennedy, and Gareth o’Hara, Have been informed that they have 48 hours from midnight to cease there drugs activity and leave our country.
Failure to respect this notice will result in a swift response from the IRA.
It has also been reported to the leadership of the IRA that a member of Mr kearneys family has been issuing threats to the IRISH REPUBLICAN ARMY.
While this persons grief is understandable he must realise that all threats shall be met with absolute resolve, As previously stated by the IRA we will protect our volunteers at all costs.
We urge this individual to reconsider his action and withdraw his threats immediately.
Finally the IRA takes this opportunity to notify this criminal network to cease it’s activities at once and disband, You are aware of the consequences of your activities and you will receive no further warnings.
