GAWA laments ‘green and green’ NI shirt
It is lucky for Northern Ireland football fans that the new international kit includes white shorts, or the Green and White Army might have to rebrand amid rumblings of discontent over the new shirt.
The new ensemble for home games was unveiled earlier this week, but some fans have been lamenting the colour palette ever since.
The shirt – with its £52 pricetag – comes in dark green with lighter green detailing.
While it appears that some fans would have preferred white strips, for others it is the dark green that causes the problem.
There have even been some claims that the new kit for Michael O’Neill’s men is too like that of Martin O’Neill’s Republic of Ireland side.
