Il blogger ultra lealista Jamie Bryson – uno dei leader della Flag protest – gestirà la campagna elettorale di Ruth Patterson a South Belfast
Ruth éatterson ha deciso di partecipare alle elezioni come candidata unionista indipendente, dopo essere stata espulsa dal DUP lo scorso anno.
La consigliera aveva criticato pubblicamente la decisione del partito di scegliere Emma Pengelly come nuova parlamentare per South Belfast.
La signora Patterson ha detto di voler puntare alle elezioni di maggio, pianificando di basare la sua campagna elettorale su educazione e salute.
“Spero di poter fare una buona campagna elettorare. Ovviamente Jamie (Bryson, Ndt) come responsabile farà sicuramente un ottimo lavoro, di questo posso essere certa”, ha detto la politica a U105, la radio di Utv.
“Sono sicura ci sarà una curva di apprendimento ma visto che sono stata consigliera comunale e in precedenza ho lavorato per le campagne elettorali di Peter Robinson e Nigel Dodds, ho già idea di cosa significhi – sarà eccitante e non vedo l’ora che inizi”.
Ruth Patterson dovrebbe annunciare il lancio ufficiale della sua campagna elettorale nelle prossime settimane.

Bryson to manage Patterson election campaign
Ruth Patterson has confirmed she will stand for election as an MLA in South Belfast, with loyalist blogger Jamie Bryson managing her campaign.
Ms Patterson is running as an independent unionist after being expelled by the DUP last year.
The councillor had publically criticised the party’s decision to select Emma Pengelly as the new MLA for South Belfast.
Ms Patterson said she is looking forward to the election in May and plans to make health and education top of her agenda.
“I hope to have a good campaign around me, obviously Jamie as campaign manager will do a very good job, of that I can be assured,” she told U105.
“I’m sure it will be a learning curve but given that I have been a councillor and previously run campaigns for both Peter Robinson and Nigel Dodds, I have a fair idea of what it means – it will be exciting and I’m looking forward to it.”
Ms Patterson is expected to formally launch her election campaign in the coming weeks.
