Jim Allister minacciato dalla Continuity IRA

Minacciato di morte il leader del Traditional Unionist Voice, Jim Allister

Allister ha riferito che anche un altro membro del suo partito è stato avvertito dalla PSNI, oggi, di una minaccia alle loro vite emessa dalla Continuity IRA.

L’ex parlamentare europeo ha detto: “Con il recente aumento dell’attività terroristica dell’IRA, i politici non saranno immuni dalla minaccia del terrorismo.

“Comunque, né io né il TUV saremo distolti dalla lotta al terrorismo, sia dentro che fuori dal governo”.

La PSNI afferma di non discutere la sicurezza dei singoli individui ma qualora ricevano informazioni di minacce sono tenuti ad informare tale persona.

Allister under threat from dissidents

A death threat has been issued against TUV leader Jim Allister.

Mr Allister said he and another party member had been warned by the PSNI today their lives were under threat from the Continuity IRA.

The former MEP said: “With the recent upsurge in IRA terrorist activity, politicians will not be immune from the threat of terrorism.

“However, neither I, nor the TUV will be deterred from standing up against terrorists either in or out of government.”

The PSNI said they never discussed the security of individuals but they if received information about a threat they would inform the person concerned.
