Il leader dello Sinn Fein Gerry Adams ha rivelato che la moglie sta lottando contro il cancro
Gerry Adams ha detto che la moglie Colette è stata operata la scorsa settimana ed ha ringraziato il personale medico per il buon lavoro.
“Un mese fa hanno riferito a Colette e me che aveva il cancro. Fu un enorme shock.
“Giovedì scorso è stata operata. Tutto è andato bene. Adesso è su di morale.
“Voglio prendere quest’opportunità per ringraziare il personale medico e sanitario ed il nostro medico curante per il loro buon lavoro.
“Desidero ringraziare anche gli amici di Colette, quelli di voi che sapevano e sono stati di grande aiuto”.
Non ci sono stati altri candidati prescelti durante la riunione svolta a West Belfast martedì sera.
Secondo Adams “alcuni elementi dei media” hanno usato le difficoltà della sua famiglia per attaccare lui ed il partito.

Gerry Adams’ wife has cancer surgery
Sinn Fein leader Gerry Adams has revealed that his wife is battling cancer.
Mr Adams said his wife Colette had undergone surgery last week and he thanked medical staff for their good work.
“A month ago Colette and I were told that she had cancer. That was a huge shock.”
“Last Thursday she had surgery. It went well. And she is in good spirits.”
“I want to take this opportunity to thank the medical and health staff and our own doctor for their good work.”
“I also want to thank Colette’s friends and those of you who knew and who have been very supportive.”
There were no other candidates selected at the selection convection in west Belfast on Tuesday night.
Mr Adams also claimed “some elements of the media” have used the difficulties faced by his family to attack him and the party.
