Libero senza accuse anche il secondo fermato per la bomba contro Palace Barracks

L’uomo di North Belfast fermato dagli investigatori è stato rilasciato senza accuse già nella serata di ieri

Il ventinovenne di North Belfast era stato fermato martedì mattina e portato presso la Serious Crime Suite della stazione di polizia di Antrim per l’interrogatorio.

L’autobomba esplose lunedì scorso davanti ai cancelli di ingresso di Palace Barracks a Hlywood, a pochi chilometri da Belfast.

L’attacco ha segnato il passaggio delle consegne sui poteri di polizia e giustizia tra Londra e Belfast.

Un tassista fu sequestrato per due ore e poi costretto a portare il suo mezzo, contenente la bomba, fino al quartier generale dell’MI5.

Man released over MI5 bomb

A man arrested by detectives investigating a car bomb attack on Palace Barracks in Holywood close to the MI5 headquarters has been released without charge.

The 29-year-old was detained in north Belfast on Tuesday morning and taken to Antrim Serious Crime Suite for questioning.

The car bomb went off last Monday as the area was being evacuated by police.

The attack occured minutes after policing and justice powers were devolved from London to Belfast.

A taxi driver was taken hostage in north Belfast and held for two hours before being forced to drive the device to the barracks.
