I graffiti contenenti minacce contro gli spacciatori sono comparsi in diverse zone del quartiere.
Coincidono con alcuni attacchi contro i venditori di droghe e con l’emergenza di un sito Internet che espone i nomi degli spacciatori.
“Loyalist News – Lurgan” è la pagina su Facebook dove sono stati pubblicizzati i graffiti di Mourneview. La stessa pagina è stata usata per fare i nomi delle persone coinvolte nello spaccio.
Facebook avrebbe minacciato di cancellare la pagina, ma non a causa del suo contenuto. Il motivo sarebbe stabilire se Loyalist News è un’organizzazione con la propria pagina Internet oppure no.
La pagina, con oltre 500 amici, comprende numerose immagini, tra cui un gruppo di uomini a volto coperto. Sotto alla foto c’è un nome, ma non viene indicato se la persona sia presente nella foto.
Vengono inoltre promossi eventi di interesse per i lealisti della zona ed esiste un forum di discussione sulla “persuasione Protestante”.
La campagna di attacco giunge dopo isolati incidenti avvenuti negli ultimi mesi, quando sono state colpite le abitazioni di presunti spacciatori.
Il Lurgan Mail ha appreso di numerosi attacchi eseguiti a Mourneview.
Almeno una famiglia è stata costretta a lasciare il quartiere.
Di recente sono stati distribuiti volantini con i nomi degli spacciatori.

Drug dealers are targeted by gang
Graffiti has appeared in a number of locations throughout the estate with threats to drug dealers.
It coincides with a number of attacks on the local drug dealers and the emergence of a website to publicly ‘out’ the dealers.
‘Loyalist News – Lurgan’ on Facebook has been ‘advertised’ with graffiti in the Mourneview area. It’s understood the page had been used to name and shame local drug dealers.
It’s believed Facebook had threatened to shut the page down, but not because of the content. The social networking site questioned whether or not Loyalist News was an organisation with its page set up as an individual.
The page, which has nearly 500 friends, includes pictures from loyalist events including a picture of a gang of masked men, which ironically has one of the participants ‘tagged’ by name (although there is nothing to indicate the tag is for the person in the picture).
It also promotes events of interest to loyalists in the area and creates a forum for discussuon of matters of ‘the Protestant persuasion’.
The campaign targeting drug dealers follows a number of incidents in the areaa over recent months with the homes of alleged drug dealers targeted.
The ‘MAIL’ understands a number of assaults have also been carried out in the area.
At least one family have left the estate after being targeted.
Also in recent months a number of leaflets have been circulated, again identifying drug dealers.
