Margaret Ritchie si dimette da Esecutivo di Stormont

La leader dell’SDLP, parlamentare per South Down a Westminster e Stormont, ha formalmente presentato le proprie dimissioni dall’Esecutivo nordirlandese.

La sua posizione di Ministro per lo Sviluppo Sociale è stata presa dal suo collega di partito Alex Attwood, che rappresenta la circoscrizione di West Belfast.

Attwood ha firmato l’assunzione del ruolo davanti allo Speaker dell’Assemblea, William Hay, e la sua nomina ha effetto immediato.

Ritchie resigns from Stormont Executive

The SDLP leader and South Down MP and Assembly member Margaret Ritchie has formally resigned from the Stormont Executive.

Her position as Minister for Social Development has been taken by her party colleague, Alex Attwood, who represents West Belfast.

He has signed the pledge of office in the presence of the Assembly Speaker, William Hay, and his appointment takes immediate effect.
