I genieri Patrick Azimkar e Mark Quinsey furono colpiti a morte a marzo 2009. Altre cinque persone rimasero ferite.

Due uomini, Brian Shivers di Maghera, e Colin Duffy di Lurgan, sono stati accusati per gli omicidi.

Massereene barracks murder suspect released

A man being questioned about the murders of two soldiers outside Massereene barracks in County Antrim has been released unconditionally.

The 44-year-old was arrested in Toomebridge, County Antrim on Tuesday morning.

Sappers Patrick Azimkar and Mark Quinsey were shot dead in March 2009. A number of other people were injured.

Two men, Brian Shivers, from Maghera, and Colin Duffy, from Lurgan, have been charged with the murders.

Sappers Quinsey, 23, from Birmingham and Azimkar, 21, from Wood Green, London were killed by the Real IRA outside their barracks as they collected pizzas.

Two gunmen in a car parked nearby opened fire with semi-automatic rifles.
