Alcune bottiglie incendiarie sono state lanciate contro un’abitazione dell’interfaccia settaria di Derry
Lei era all’interno con suo marito e i due figli di 16 e 1 anni, quando è avvenuto il lancio di molotov.
Le bottiglie incendiarie hanno causato bruciature nella parte anteriore della proprietà e ad un muro perimetrale.
“Credo di essere stata attaccata solamente perché vivo nell’interfaccia. Altre cinque molotov inesplose giacciono davanti a casa”.
La Monteith ha criticato la risposta fornita dalla polizia all’incidente che non si è recata dalla famiglia la sera del giovedì.
Un portavoce della PSNI riferisce che “sono allo studio i filmati delle telecamere a circuito chiuso.
“La polizia si è presentata sul luogo e ha prelevato le restanti bottiglie incendiarie per un’analisi scientifica.
“Studieremo le immagini per vedere se riusciamo ad identificare gli aggressori. Parleremo alla famiglia venerdì (oggi, NdT)”.

House attacked with petrol bombs
Several petrol bombs have been thrown at a house in a sectarian interface area of Londonderry.
She was inside with her husband and two sons aged 16 and 11 when it was attacked.
The petrol bombs caused scorch damage to the front of the property and to a side wall.
“I think I was targeted simply for living in an interface. Five unexploded petrol bombs are still sitting on my premises.”
Mrs Monteith has criticised the police response to the incident after she claims they failed to visit the family on Thursday night.
A PSNI spokesman said the “immediate action was to study CCTV footage.”
“Police attended the scene and took the remains of the petrol bombs away for scientific examination.”
“We will also be studying CCTV footage to see if the culprits can be identified. We will be speaking to the family on Friday.”
