Nessun coinvolgimento paramilitare nella morte di Thomas Devlin

I paramilitari lealisti non furono coinvolti nell’omicidio di Thomas Devlin, ha detto un detective in tribunale

L’investigatore stava testimoniando al processo contro due uomini, accusati di aver ucciso il quindicene a North Belfast nell’agosto 2005.

La giuria è anche venuta a conoscenza della mancanza di impronte digitali o di DNA contro i due accusati.

Nigel James Brown, 26 anni, di Whitewell Road, e Gary Taylor, 23 anni, di Mountcollyer Avenue, hanno negato di aver assassinato Thomas Devlin.

E’ morto a causa di ferite da taglio. Il suo amico Jonathan McKee è stato ferito all’addome e colpito alla testa con un bastone di legno.

L’accusa presume che Taylor brandisse il coltello e Brown il bastone.

Il processo continua.

No paramilitary link in Thomas Devlin killing jury told

Paramilitaries were not involved in the killing of schoolboy Thomas Devlin, a detective has told Belfast Crown Court.

He was testifying at the trial of two men accused of murdering the 15 year old in north Belfast in August 2005.

The jury also heard that there was no fingerprint or DNA evidence against either of the two accused.

Belfast men Nigel Brown, 26, from Whitewell Road and Gary Taylor, 23, from Mountcollyer Avenue, deny murdering Thomas Devlin.

He died as a result of stab wounds. His friend Jonathan McKee was stabbed in the abdomen and hit on the head with a wooden baton.

The prosecution alleges Mr Taylor had the knife and Mr Brown the bat.

The case continues.
