Nigel Dodds preoccupato per la peaceline a North Belfast
MP’s concern over north Belfast peace walls
Peace walls in north Belfast can only be removed if and when there is consent given by the local people who live in their shadow, the area’s MP Nigel Dodds has said.
The DUP MP says residents are very concerned they could be excluded from decision-making regarding peace walls. He added: “It is absolutely the case that everyone with common sense would like, at some point, to arrive at a situation where everyone felt comfortable about the removal of peace walls.
“But that point has not arrived and it can never be imposed arbitrarily from on high by the Secretary of State or anyone else.”
