Il giovane è stato colpito in una coscia durante un attacco in stile paramilitare avvenuto a North Belfast
Secondo la polizia tre uomini a volto coperto sono entrati nella casa del giovane e lo hanno portato in giardino, dove gli hanno sparato per il suo presunto comportamento anti-sociale.
La madre del ragazzo ha chiamato la polizia e l’ambulanza.
Il consigliere dello Sinn Fein Conor Maskey ha affermato: “La comunità di North Belfast è stata al centro di gravi disagi questa settimana edd è palese che non vogliono sangue sulle loro strade.
“I responsabili di questi attacchi devono cadere dietro gli sforzi, guidati dalla comunità, di creare strade sicure nella zona di New Lodge piuttosto che intimidire le persone con le pistole.
“Tali atti di sconsiderata violenza nella comunità non porteranno a nulla”, ha aggiunto.

Teen, 17, shot in garden
A 17-year-old teenager has been shot in the thigh during a paramilitary-style attack at his family home in north Belfast.
Police said three masked men forced their way into the house and took him into the garden where they shot him for alleged anti-social behaviour.
The mother of the victim called police and the ambulance service.
North Belfast Sinn Féin Councillor Conor Maskey said: “The community of north Belfast has been at the centre of major disruption this week and are clear that they do not want blood on their streets.
“Those responsible for these attacks need to fall in behind the efforts, led by the community, to create safer streets in the New Lodge area rather than intimidating people with the use of guns.
“Such acts of reckless violence in the community will achieve nothing,” he added.
