L’uomo accusato dopo il ritrovamento di quattro bombe di mortaio in transito a Derry viene interrogato su altri reati.
Gary McDaid attualmente è in attesa di giudizio dopo che gli è stata respinta la richiesta di rilascio con la condizionale.
Il trentasettenne è accusato di cospirazione per provocare un’esplosione, di possesso di quattro bomba di mortaio e di una pipe bomb oltre che del possesso di un furgone per uso terroristico.
I reati sarebbero stati commessi il 3 marzo.
Questa mattina al Tribunale di Derry è stato deciso di lasciarlo ancora in custodia della polizia per massimo tre giorni.
Un funzionario incaricato delle indagini ha confermato al giudice che la richiesta è stata fatta perché è intenzione della PSNI interrogarlo su altri reati.
McDaid deve essere ricondotto in tribunale prima delle ore 11 del 28 marzo.

Derry man on mortar bomb charges faces new probe
A man charged in connection with the discovery of four mortar bombs while in transit in Derry earlier this month is to be questioned about other offences.
Gary McDaid, of Glenowen Park, is currently on remand after being refused bail in relation to the bomb find at Letterkenny Road.
The 37-year-old is charged with conspiracy to cause an explosion, possession of four mortars and a pipe bomb and possessing a van for use in terrorism.
The offences were allegedly committed on March 3.
At Derry Magistrate’s Court this morning McDaid was released into police custody for up to three days.
An investigating officer confirmed to the court the application was made so the accused could be questioned about other offences.
McDaid must be brought back to court on or before 11am on March 28.
