Un uomo è stato arrestato dalla polizia nel corso delle indagini sull’attacco con un mortaio artigianale avvenuto a West Belfast
Gli agenti di polizia, a bordo di una Land Rover, sono stati attaccati nell’area di Falls Road, vicino al City Cemetery, venerdì 14 marzo.
Nessuno è rimasto ferito nel corso dell’attacco, ma una famiglia con dei bambini piccoli, trovatasi al centro dell’attacco compiuto dai repubblicani, sono stati coinvolti nello scoppio.
L’attacco, compiuto con un mortaio artigianale, è stato rivendicato dall’IRA.
La polizia oggi ha fermato un quarantaquattrenne a West Belfast.
L’uomo è stato trasferito alla Serious Crime Suite della stazione PSNI di Antrim per essere interrogato.

Arrest over mortar attack on police
A man has been arrested by police investigating a dissident republican mortar bomb attack on a PSNI vehicle in west Belfast.
Officers were attacked in the Falls Road area close to Belfast City Cemetery on Friday 14 March.
No-one was injured but a family with young children, who had been driving in the area at the time, were caught up in the blast. A group calling itself the IRA later admitted responsibility.
Police investigating the incident arrested a 44-year-old in west Belfast on Monday.
He has been taken to Antrim Serious Crime Suite for questioning.
