La polizia ha rilasciato incondizionatamente il quarantaseienne fermato nella zona di Lurgan
David Black, 52 anni, fu colpito a morte lungo l’autostrada M1 il 1° novembre mentre si recava al lavoro presso la prigione di Maghaberry.
Il suo funerale si è svolto martedì nella cittadina di Cookstown.
Giovedì gli investigatori hanno visitato nuovamente il luogo dell’omicidio, ad una settimana esatta dall’attacco.
La polizia ha organizzato alcuni posti di blocco nei pressi dell’M1. Hanno parlato con gli automibilisti e consegnato dei volantini per richiedere informazioni.
Anche dei cartelli elettronici sono stati utilizzati per visualizzare le richieste di informazioni.
Allo svincolo di Lurgan è stato posizionato un cartello mobile per rinforzare i messaggi di appello.
La PSNI ha fermato le vetture nella zona di Annesborough Road a Lurgan per cercare di stabilire la via di fuga utilizzata dal commando a bordo della Toyota Camry, vettura ritrovata in fiamme nell’area di Inglewood.

Police investigating the murder of prison officer David Black last week have released a 46-year-old man from the Lurgan area.

Mr Black, a 52-year-old father of two, was shot dead on the M1 as he drove to work at Maghaberry Prison on 1 November.
His funeral was held in his home town of Cookstown, County Tyrone, on Tuesday.
On Thursday, detectives investigating the murder revisited the scene exactly one week after the attack.
Police mounted a number of checkpoints close to the M1. They spoke to motorists and gave them leaflets appealing for information.
Electronic signs ran a sequential message appealing for information.
At the Lurgan off-slip, a mobile appeal poster was positioned to reinforce appeal messages.
Police also stopped cars in the Annesborough Road area of Lurgan as part of inquiries to determine whether this was the getaway route used by the killers in their dark blue Toyota Camry car before it was found burnt out in the Inglewood district of the town.
