Omicidio Ronan Kerr: Cinque arresti nella Contea di Tyrone

Cinque uomini sono stati arrestati dagli investigatori in relazione alla morte dell’agente PSNI Ronan Kerr.

Ricerche sono in corso in diverse parti della Contea di Tyrone.

La recluta della polizia fu uccisa da una bomba sotto alla vettura, che esplose fuori dalla sua casa di Omagh il 2 aprile.

L’agente Kerr fu ucciso dai repubblicani contrari al processo di pace in Irlanda del Nord.

Ronan Kerr era uno degli agenti di polizia cattolici arruolati nel Police Service of Northern Ireland.

Fu uno degli attacchi più gravi degli ultimi tempi. I repubblicani hanno attaccato anche una stazione di polizia e altri obiettivi tra le forze di sicurezza.

Le ricerche odierne, legate agli arresti, sono in corso a Coalisland, Toome, Bellaghy e Ballyronan.

Five held in Constable Ronan Kerr murder probe

Five men have been arrested by detectives investigating the murder of Constable Ronan Kerr in Northern Ireland.

Searches are under way in parts of Co Tyrone.

The new police recruit was killed by an under-car booby-trap bomb which exploded outside his house in Omagh, Co Tyrone, on April 2.

Constable Kerr was killed by dissident republicans opposed to the peace process in Northern Ireland.

He was one of a growing number of Catholic police officers joining the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI).

It was one of the most serious incidents attributed to dissidents, who have also attacked police station and other security force targets.

Today, police said searches linked to the arrests were under way in Coalisland, Toome, Bellaghy and Ballyronan, Co Tyrone.
