Ordigno ritrovato a South Belfast

In corso un’indagine dopo il ritrovamento di un ordigno esplosivo presso un’abitazione di South Belfast

Venerdì sera, intorno alle 21:30, numerose segnalazioni sono giunte alla polizia per un oggetto sospetto ritrovato nella zona di Fortuna Street.

Alcune abitazioni sono state evacuate e gli artificieri dell’esercito inglese sono intervenuti per gestire l’ordigno, considerato in grado di esplodere.

L’ordigno sarebbe stato lanciato contro l’abitazione ma non sarebbe esploso. È stato portato via per ulteriori indagini scientifiche.

La polizia chiede ad eventuali testimoni di farsi avanti.

Explosive device found at house

An investigation is under way after an explosive device was found at a house in south Belfast.

The PSNI received reports of a suspicious object at a property in the Fortuna Street area at around 9.30pm on Friday.

A number of nearby houses were evacuated and army bomb experts were called to the scene where they confirmed the device was viable.

It is believed the object may have been thrown at the house and failed to detonate. It has been taken away for forensic testing.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
