La PSNI ha annunciato di aver arrestato otto persone domenica sera nel corso dei disordini di Belfast e Newtownabbey
I disordini sono iniziati venerdì sera ad Ardoyne, quando a tre logge dell’Orange Order di Ligoniel è stato impedito di marciare lungo Crumlin Road verso gli Ardoyne Shops in base alle decisioni della Commissione Parate.
Le proteste e i disordini sono continuati per tutto il fine settimana, con altre parate che hanno cercato di forzare il blocco.
La PSNI ha riferito di aver arrestato 8 persone nella giornata di domenica.
A Newtownabbey quattro quindicenni e un diciottenne sono stati fermati per comportamento riottoso.
A North Belfast è stato fermato un uomo di 31 anni per possesso di molotov e disturbo della quiete pubblica.
A East Belfast un venticinquenne è stato fermato per resistenza a pubblico ufficiale.
Per i disordini di North Belfast del 12 luglio è stato fermato un cinquantaduenne residente a South Belfast per reati legati all’ordine pubblico.
Alcune persone sono state formalmente accusate oggi pomeriggio, quando sono state portate in aula nel tribunale di Belfast.
Fino ad oggi sono state arrestate 49 persone per i disordini, 22 delle quali accusate e portate in tribunale.

Eight arrested over further Ardoyne disorder
The PSNI has announced that it made eight arrests on Sunday night in the continuing disorder across Belfast and Newtownabbey.
The trouble was sparked on Friday night at Ardoyne when three Orange lodges from Ligoniel were prevented from proceeding along the Crumlin Road past Ardoyne shops for the first time by a Parades Commission ruling.
Protests and disorder continued over the weekend with more parades attempting to pass.
The PSNI said they arrested eight people on Sunday.
In Newtownabbey, four 15-year-old boys and an 18-year-old man were arrested for riotous behaviour.
In North Belfast a 31-year-old man was arrested for possession of a petrol bomb and disorderly behaviour.
In East Belfast a 25-year-man was arrested for Resisting police and Disorderly Behaviour.
While in south Belfast, a 52-year-old man was arrested for public order offences relating to disorder in North Belfast on July 12.
A number of these persons have been charged to Belfast Magistrates Court this afternoon (Monday).
To date there have been 49 arrests linked to public order, 22 of these persons have been charged and attended court.
