Otto bottiglie molotov sono state lanciate durante i disordini di lunedì sera scoppiati nell’area di Garvaghy Road
I disordini sono scoppiati nella zona di Garvaghy Road tra gruppi di giovani intorno alle 22:30, secondo quanto riferito dalla polizia.
La PSNI riferisce che alcuni cassonetti dell’immondizia sono stati dati alle fiamme.
Un portavoce ha affermato: “Per ragioni di pubblica sicurezza la strada è stata chiusa per un breve periodo, mentre un prete e membri della comunità hanno aiutato la polizia a risolvere velocemente la situazione”.
La polizia chiede aiuto a chiunque sia stato testimone degli scontri.

Petrol bombs thrown in Garvaghy Rd area
Up to eight petrol bombs were thrown during a disturbance in the Garvaghy Road area of Portadown on Monday night.
Trouble erupted between groups of youths, police said, at around 10.30pm.
Police said between three and four bins were set on fire during the disturbance.
A police spokesman said: “For public safety reasons the road was closed for a short period, while clergy and members of the local community assisted police in resolving the situation quickly.”
Police have appealed for anyone with information about the trouble to contact investigating officers.
