Un quarantaduenne è stato arrestato nel corso delle indagini per l’omicidio di due lavoratori cattolici avvenuto a North Belfast quasi 20 anni fa
Gary Convie, 24 anni, e Eamon Fox, 44 anni, erano seduti nella loro automobile in un cantiere in North Queen Street il 17 maggio 1994, quando un uomo armato aprì il fuoco contro di loro con un fucile semi automatico.
Lunedì mattina il sospettato è stato fermato perché ritenuto responsabile dei due omicidi, del tentato omicidio di un terzo uomo e di appartenenza alla UVF.
L’uomo è stato trasferito nella Serious Crime Suite della stazione di polizia di Antrim per essere interrogato.
Un altro uomo, in precedenza, era stato arrestato per il legame con gli omicidi.

UVF accused arrested over 1994 murders
A 42-year-old man has been arrested as part of an investigation into the murders of two Catholic workmen in north Belfast almost 20 years ago.
Gary Convie, 24, and Eamon Fox, 44, were sitting in their car at a building site in North Queen Street on 17 May 1994 when a gunman opened fire with a sub-machine gun.
In north Belfast on Monday morning the suspect was detained on suspicion of the two murders, the attempted murder of a third man and membership of the UVF.
He has been taken to the Serious Crime Suite at Antrim police station for questioning.
A man has previously been convicted in connection with the murders.
