Republican Prisoners Maghaberry Statement: The Isolation of Kieran Collins
Republican Political Prisoners, Roe 4, Maghaberry Jail, wish to condemn the removal of Roe 3 Republican Prisoner, Kieran Collins, from the Republican Wing. Kieran was removed under a spurious threat on Thursday 4th June 2015 by the notorious Jail Riot Squad.
His removal from the Republican Wing means that he is now being held amongst a hostile population, isolated and totally restricted; which will undoubtedly impact on his own well being and is causing a great distress for his loved ones.
Kieran should be returned to the Republican Wing immediately. Roe 4 Prisoners have repeatedly condemned the Jail’s isolation policy. We have made it clear to the jail administration that Kieran is welcome on Roe 4.
So called threats, along with the deliberate isolation of republican prisoners, must end immediately.
