A pochi giorni dall’annuncio di un progetto di restauro delle immagini nel quartiere di The Fountain, Derry, la PSNI ha confermato che 4 giovani sono stati arrestati in collegamento con un attacco settario in Fountain Street
Un’autovettura parcheggiata vicino alla casa di Joleen Jackson è stata attaccata nelle prime ore di sabato scorso e lunedì un portavoce della PSNI ha affermato che quattro giovani – di 16, 18, 21 e 24 anni – sono stati arrestati e in seguito rilasciati con la condizionale.
Graham Warke, che lavora insieme ai giovani, ha detto che l’attacco non ha fatto nulla per migliorare l’immagine della zona, aggiungendo: “È terribile quanto è successo. Questa è la seconda volta che la sua auto è stata attaccata. Non può parcheggiare la sua auto vicino a casa.
“È stato bello vedere che ci sono stati arresti in connessione con l’incidente”.
PSNI: Attack was sectarian
Just days after a re-imaging project for The Fountain was announced, the PSNI confirmed that four youths were arrested in connection with a sectarian attack at Fountain Street.
A car parked near the home of resident Joleen Jackson, was targeted in the early hours of Saturday, and on Monday a PSNI spokesman said four males, aged 16, 18, 21 and 24, were arrested and later released on conditional bail pending further enquiries.
Youth worker Graham Warke, said the attack did nothing to enhance the image of area, adding: “It is terrible what has happened. This is the second time her car has been attacked. She cannot park her car down near her home.
“It was good to see that there have been arrests in connection with the incident.”
