PSNI perquisisce la casa del sindaco shinner di Derry
Mayor of Derry’s home raided by police
The home of the Mayor of Londonderry Kevin Campbell has been raided by police.
A Sinn Féin spokesperson said that PSNI arrived at Mr Campbell’s house on Thursday night and carried out a search.
Mr Campbell, a Sinn Féin Councillor, was elected Mayor in June.
He lives in the Creggan Estate in the city.
The PSNI and a forensics team were at the premises and a laptop is believed to have been taken.
Sinn Féin have said a reason was not given to Mr Campbell for the search on his home.
The party is demanding an explanation from the PSNI.
Police were searching houses in the area at the time but have not said if the searches are connected.
