Republican Sinn Fein: Sean Lynch corre alle prossime elezioni locali

Ad una recente riunione Sean Lynch è stato selezionato dal Republican Sinn Fein per partecipare alle prossime elezioni locali. Sarà candidato per il Longford County Council nell’area di Drumlish.

E’ stato eletto per la prima volta nel 1974 – dopo non aver avuto successo nell’assicurarsi il seggio in seguito alla morte del compianto padre.

Suo padre, Sean F Lynch, ha rappresentato Drumlish dai primi anni Trenta nel Consiglio di Longford.
Sean stesso è stato presidente del Longford County Council nel 1980/81.

Sean è stato in vari comitati durante la guida del consiglio di contea, del Vocational Education Committee (VEC) ed anche presidente del North Longford Roads Committee.

Qualora fosse eletto Sean intende continuare a lavorare con onestà ed integrità al servizio della gente.
Alcune delle questioni nelle quali Sean ha giocato un ruolo chiave includono: il Lough Gowna Regional Water Supply Scheme (Piano di approvvigionamento idrico regionale di Lough Gowna) – iniziato dal padre – illuminazione pbblica, miglioramento delle strade, estensione delle aree fortemente disagiate a sostegno della comunità agricola di North Longford.

Sean recentemente ha subito un’operazione di sostituzione della testa del femore per la quale ha dovuto attendere oltre due anni. I tagli ai servizi sanitari per le aree rurali ed i lunghi ritardi cui devono sottoporsi i pazienti in attesa di procedure mediche basilari sono argomenti ai quali Sean tiene molto.

“Le vere vittime dell’attuale crisi economica sono i normali irlandesi. Quelli che hanno ricevuto meno profitti dalla ‘Tigre Celtica’ sono quelli che adesso soffrono di più”, ha concluso Sean Lynch.

A causa della recente operazione Sean si rammarica che, a differenza delle precedenti campagne elettorali, non sarà in grado di chiamare tutte le abitazione prima delle elezioni. Sean può tuttavia essere contattato al numero 84146 oppre 086 1028917.

Sean Lynch to contest local election

At a recent convention Sean Lynch was selected by Republican Sinn Féin to contest the forthcoming local elections. He will be a candidate for Longford Co Council in the Drumlish area.

He was first elected in 1974 –having been unsuccessful in securing the co-option following the death of his late father in 1969.

His late father Sean F Lynch represented Drumlish from the early 1930s on Longford Co Council.
Sean himself served as chairman of Longford Co Council in 1980/81.

Sean served on various committees during his tenure on the council, such as the VEC and also as chairman of the North Longford Roads Committee.

Sean intends if elected to continue to work with honesty and integrity in the service of the people.
Some of the issues which Sean in the past played a leading role in addressing included: Loughgowna Regional Water Supply Scheme – which his father started – public lighting, improvement of roads, extension of the severely handicapped areas in support of the farming community of North Longford.

Sean recently underwent a hip-replacement operation for which he endured a wait of over two years. Cuts in health services for rural Ireland and lengthy delays for people awaiting basic medical procedures are issues which Sean feels strongly about.

“The real victims of the present economic collapse are the ordinary people of Ireland. Those who profited least from the so-called ‘Celtic Tiger’ are now the people to suffer most”, says Sean Lynch.
