Republican Sinn Fein: sinistre azioni dello Special Branch a Dublino

In un comunicato rilasciato il 30 gennaio 2010, Sinn Fein Poblachtach ha criticato le azioni dello Special Branch

Il Republican Sinn Fein vede le azioni dello Special Branch (ora Special Detective Unit) al picchetto per il Bloody Sunday, avvenuto il 30 gennaio 2010 a Dublino, come gravemente ingiuriose e un po’ sinistre.

Dopo aver raccolto i nominativi e gli indirizzi di numerosi membri e sostenitori, sono entrati nel GPO (General Post Office) dove hanno scattato fotografie, attraverso le finestre, dei partecipanti al picchetto. Comparando le note, hanno scritto i nomi di quelli “fotografati”.

Ci opponiamo ai lacchè pagati di Leinster House che usano un edificio sacro repubblicano, il quartier generale della Repubblica Irlandese proclamata nel 1916, per nascondersi e raccogliere informazioni sui repubblicani irlandesi che poi passano alla polizia coloniale britannica e agli spioni dell’MI5.

I repubblicani sanno che quelle persone useranno qualsiasi metodo sottobanco per minare la lotta repubblicana. Continueremo ad evidenziare le attività del calibro dei detective Kevin Doherty e Joe Higgins.

Diciamo alla popolazione: non permettete alle loro tattiche di intimidirvi ma piuttosto rafforzate la vostra decisione di evidenziare l’ingiustizia dell’occupazione britannica nel nostro Paese.

Sinister actions of Special Branch

IN A statement on January 30, Comhairle Chúige Laighean, Sinn Féin Poblachtach criticised the actions of the Special Branch on January 30, 2010.

Republican Sinn Féin views the actions of the Special Branch at the Bloody Sunday picket in Dublin on January 30 as grossly insulting and slightly sinister.

After taking the names and addresses of several members and supporters, they proceeded to enter the GPO where they took pictures, through the window, of those on the picket. Comparing notes, they wrote down the names of those ‘in the [picture] frame’.

We object to the paid lackeys of Leinster House using a hallowed Republican building, the headquarters of the All-Ireland Republic proclaimed in 1916, to skulk in and gather information on Irish Republicans which they pass on to the British Colonial police and MI5 spymasters.

Republicans know that such people will use any underhand methods to undermine the Republican struggle. We will continue to highlight the activities of the likes of Det Kevin Doherty and Det Joe Higgins.

We say to people: do not let their tactics intimidate you but rather strengthen your resolve to highlight the injustice of British occupation in our country.
