Rilasciati gli uomini arrestati per la morte di McConnell

Un uomo arrestato in collegamento con l’omicidio di un uomo di trentotto anni, avvenuto a Derry lo scorso anno, è stato rilasciato ma un rapporto è stato consegnato al Public Prosecution Service.

James (Jim) McConnell fu colpito a morte da due uomini a volto coperto mentre si trovava nella sua abitazione di Woodland Avenue nel febbraio 009.

Lunedì i due arrestati, di 42 e 44 anni, erano stati trasferiti presso la Serious Crime Suite della stazione di polizia di Antrim per gli interrogatori.

Il quarantaduenne è stato rilasciato senza alcuna accusa.

Two men released in McConnell inquiry

A man arrested in connection with the murder of a 38-year-old man in Derry last year has been released pending a report to the Public Prosecution Service.

Jim McConnell was shot by two masked men at his home at Woodland Avenue in the Prehen area of the city in February 2009.

Two men, aged 42 and 44, were taken to Antrim police station for questioning on Monday.

The 42-year-old was released without charge.

The second man has now been released pending a report to the PPS.
