Rilasciato il fermato per la bomba di Newry

L’uommo arrestato per la bomba da 230 kg abbandonata in un furgone vicino a Newry è stato rilasciato senza accuse

L’uomo, 26 anni, era stato fermato dagli agenti del Serious Crime Branch nella mattina di giovedì.

E’ stato interrogato nella Serious Crime Suite della stazione di polizia di Antrim, ma ora è stato rilasciato senza alcuna accusa.

Le indagini sull’ordigno esplosivo improvvisato, lasciato sotto ad un sottopasso dell’autostrada A1, sono in corso.

Newry bomb van suspect released

A man arrested in connection with a 500lb bomb abandoned in a van on the Belfast to Dublin Road last week has been released without charge.

The 26-year-old was detained by PSNI officers from the Serious Crime Branch on Thursday morning.

He was questioned at Antrim Serious Crime Suite but has now been released without charged.

Police investigations into the improvised explosive device, which was left an underpass on the A1 carriageway, are ongoing.
