E’ stato fermato ieri mattina nella zona di Dunmurry, vicino a Lisburn.
Il 12 aprile un tassista è stato obbligato a trasportare la bomba fino a Palace Barracks, una base militare in cui sono presenti gli uffici dell’MI5.
Un uomo anziano ha subito minime ferite causato dallo scoppio della bomba, avvenuto mentre la zona intorno alla base era ancora in corso di evacuazione.
La bomba è stata piazzata per coincidere con il trasferimento dei poteri su polizia e giustizia da Westminster all’Assemblea nordirlandese.
La Real IRA ha rivendicato l’attacco.

Man released in MI5 bomb investigation
He was detained yesterday morning in the Dunmurry area near Lisburn.
On 12 April a taxi driver was forced to ferry the bomb to Palace Barracks, a military base which includes the MI5 facility.
An elderly man suffered minor injuries when the device exploded while the area around the barracks was being evacuated.
The bombing was timed to coincide with the devolution of policing and justice powers from Westminster to the NI Assembly.
A dissident republican group claimed responsibility for the attack.
